CANVAS Lacquer CANVAS the City Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the spring/summer collection from CANVAS Lacquer to share with you called CANVAS the City. This collection was inspired by the Canadian makers' hometown of Toronto. These polishes celebrate places and events that are unique to the Toronto area.

Cherry Blossoms in High Park (3 thin coats) is a white jelly base with a mixture of red, light pink, hot pink, white, and deep brown glitters, including some large red dot glitters. The formula on this polish was fantastic and smooth, with full coverage at 3 thin coats. I was sure I was going to have to layer this polish to get it opaque, but it built up very nicely. I didn't get as many of the large red dots as I would have liked when polishing, but I think that could be due to it being in a mini bottle (I've found larger glitters don't like to come out of those as easily for some reason. I think that this polish perfectly embodies cherry blossoms and I love it so much!

Let's Go to the Ex (2 coats) has a nude holo base with pink flash filled with multicolored matte glitters. This is such an unexpected combo of colors, but it really works together. I used 2 coats for full coverage. Some of glitters can get a bit buried in the base since it is pretty opaque. I wish they shone through a bit more, but other than that, it's a really cool polish.

Blankets in Bellwoods (3 thin coats) is a grey jelly base with yellow, wine, and aqua glitters.  The jelly formula spread really well and built up nicely. This was one of my surprise favorites. I'm not typically a grey lover, but something about this wacky combo of colors really won me over.

Ferry to the Islands (2 coats) is a pale blue base with assorted white and blue glitters and a fine minty shimmer. Formula covered easily in 2 coats. There were a few larger dot glitters, but I didn't get too many of them on my brush when I was polishing. This polish is so pretty and the shimmer really sets it off.

Caribana Parade (2 coats) has a corally red crelly base with assorted red and yellow glitters and fine golden shimmer. Once again, a great formula that covers easily with 2 coats. Such a bright and gorgeous polish, another favorite for sure!

Junction Vintage (2 coats) is a murky grass green crelly with silver holographic glitters/shimmers. Formula is once again, perfect in 2 easy coats. This color is so fun and lively and the glitter/shimmer gives it great depth.
