Pretty Serious Post Apocalyptic Princess Collection + Ninja-Lish-ous

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have Pretty Serious Cosmetic's Post Apocalyptic Princess Collection to share with you as well as a limited edition shade called Ninja-Lish-ous. This is a gamer-inspired collection full of very futuristic shades/finishes. I'm not a gamer myself (unless you count Mario?) so I don't get all of the references, but hey...it's pretty polish and that IS what we care about, right? Don't worry...you guys will get to see me nerd out and spread gifs of joy in an upcoming post for a holiday collection that I TOTALLY get the references to, just give it a few weeks! These shades are all available now in the Pretty Serious shop.

Badlands Bandit is a bright metallic blue. Formula on this was superb and it was almost a one-coater but I did two coats for good measure. This one actually looks a little more brushstrokey in photos than it is in real life because it has this otherworldly sheen that makes it almost glow. You guys know I'm not always a metallic fan, but this is MOST DEFINITELY a metallic I can get behind! It's so dreamy!

Nuke the Fridge has a blue base with super strong olive green/gold shimmer. And no, Christine from Serenity Nails was not kidding, the base is really blue, but it's so packed with shimmer that it reads fully olive green. Formula was a little on the thick side but it spread easily and I just made sure to use thin coats (I used 2 coats for this mani). The brushstrokes were the most prominient in this metallic for sure, but they weren't too bad. This was probably my least favorite of the 3 metallics in the collection, but hey for me 2 out of 3 is really good for a finish I don't really care for!

Frogtown is a cool green creme with silver and green shimmer as well as a few violet flecks. This one probably leans just slightly more green in real life than my photos show. Formula was very nice to work with and I got full coverage in 2 easy coats. This a gorgeous, vibrant shade and the shimmer really adds a lot of dimession to it.

Toxic Tiara is a warm plummy purple loaded with gold flakes/shimmer. Formula on this one started out a bit sheer, but it built up nicely in 3 thin coats. You want to make sure to take care when applying this one because it has that foily shimmer that likes to cling to your skin so you don't want to get it on your cuticles and have to do much clean-up. The combo of the gold and the mauvey purple is gorgeous!

Cherry 2000 is a vampy cherry metallic. Formula was very nice and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is another metallic I can get behind...so gorgeous for winter! It's the perfect black cherry shade!

Gluteus Equine is a clear-based topper filled with fine holographic glitters, color shifting flakies, shimmer, and diamond holo glitters. The formula of this one was really easy to work with though I did have to fish a bit for the diamonds since they tend to sink to the bottom (a good shake of the bottle will help that). I used 1 coat plus some placed diamonds over a base of Ninja-Lish-ous (which I will be showing you next!). This is so sparkly and fun! I love the mixture of the flakies and holo glitters, they all really pop gorgeously over a dark base.

Ninja-Lish-ous is a midnight blue jelly filled with blue, green, and teal flecked shimmer. Formula was super nice to work with and I got full coverage in 2 easy coats. This shimmer is sort of hidden, but the colors really pop when it hits the light, This one is not a part of the Post Apocalyptic Princess Collection, but instead is a limited edition that was created to honor Pretty Serious's US warehouse manger, Alicia for all of her hard work. It is still available in the shop!
